Directions: By Automobile From the Taconic State Parkway: Exit at either Route 44 or Route 55. Proceed westward to Van Wagner Road in the Town of Poughkeepsie (9 miles on Route 44; 6 miles on Route 55). Turn left onto Raymond Avenue Extension and proceed about 1 mile to Vassar; a stone archway, the main entrance is on the left. The art center is to the right of the archway.

Location: 42nd Street subway station under Bryant Park (F train)
Time: 10 AM to 12 PM
Fee: Entrance to Subway $2.00
Details: Bring your shakuhachi, music and a stand and join in at the first Shakuhachi Saturday on the subway. It will be an opportunity to meet others that share your interest in this great instrument. If you have never performed in public this is a great place to start.
